Petromalt Hairball Remedy

One common cat health care problem is the ordinary average hairball.  You may have noticed that cat's tongues are rough, and they tend to pull your skin somewhat when they lick you.  Well, that happens with hair and such, too.  Cats ingest hair, which gets all gummed up in their digestive system.  This leads to all sorts of problems, like constipation, straining at bowel movements, dry coughs, and vomiting.  There are two things you can do to help solve or prevent this problem:  regular brushing and grooming to remove the looser hairs that might otherwise end up ingest, and Petromalt.  I noticed Petromalt hairball remedy a while back.

What Is Petromalt?

Petromalt hairball remedy is a laxative and intestinal lubricant combination used to combat the deadly hairball.  Ok, they shouldn't be deadly if treated, but that's the whole point of Petromalt, isn't it?  It comes in tubes (2 oz.) and pump dispensers (3.2 oz and 4.4 oz), and can be either malt or tuna flavored.  As Petromalt hairball remedy is a medicine, your cat may not want it no matter the flavor, but you can trick them into taking the Petromalt hairball remedy anyway.  You can also find Petromalt fiber capsules in treat form, using mineral oil with rice bran to add fiber, which is always good for cats.  Depending on the specific quirks of your pet, they may prefer the gel over the capsule and vice versa, so if they resist one too much, try the other as a replacement instead. It may sound odd but I have found that Petromalt for cats is by far the easiest thing for most people.

How Do I Use Petromalt?

Use Petromalt for cats between meals and don't mix it with their food.  The recommended dosage for existing hairballs is a one inch ribbon each day until the issue is resolved.  For prevention of hairballs, a dose once a week should be sufficient.  For usage with kittens of 4 weeks or older, use one half of an adult dose, or one half-inch ribbon daily for existing hairball problems, and once a week for prevention.

If your cat doesn't like it, dab it on their back paws, and they will lick it off in the course of cleaning themselves.  Using the front paw carries the potential to have the Petromalt hairball remedy flicked off.  It's trickery, but it works, and that's the important part.  You can also put the Petromalt on the roof of their mouths.   Petromalt hairball remedy is for cats and kittens that have been weaned.  I have simplified this but that is the basics of Petromalt hairball remedy. Sure this is obvious, but worth emphasizing. Petromalt is all it's cracked up to be

Petromalt for Rabbits

Not only are cats prone to hairball problems, so are rabbits.  Rabbits can have an even worse problem in that they shed their hair in heavy shedding.  They will ingest this shedded hair in exactly the same way cats do.   You can use Petromalt for rabbits thusly in exactly the same way you do for cats; all the same caveats and tips apply.  The paw trick is also applicable for rabbits as well as is the same consideration for keeping up with their grooming to reduce the hairball problem as much as possible in the first place.

Petromalt hairball remedy is the next big thing. Petromalt is a cinch. If you have a cat or rabbit with a hairball problem, now you can solve it.
