Pet Urine Or Pet Odor Got You Down?

Pet urine or pet odor got you down? Is Fluffy forgetting to use the litter box? What can you do? Pet urine can be a difficult problem and cleaning cat urine is not easy. Pet urine or pet odor is a smelly issue that you do not want to continue.
Cleaning cat urine can be difficult, and few simple, easy methods of how to clean cat urine exist. Cat urine leaves hard to remove stains and odors suffusing throughout your home. The stench can be overwhelming in an enclosed area, and you don't want that! You can use cleaning products and deodorizers, but stains are apt to remain and the odor my again return if you don't use dedicated cat urine cleaning products. This is bad because kitty will smell it and be likely to become a repeat offender, giving you a recurring pet urine or pet odor problem. As cats have a much more highly developed sense of smell than do humans, they will know that there is a "peepee spot" there much before you do, and long after you think it's gone.
Cat urine, like other types of pet urine, or any all, smells badly due to the uric acid, which is comprised of salts and crystals. These do not release much odor when dried, but the pet urine or pet odor smell comes back with a vengeance whenever they get damp. So any period of moisture, such as rain, humidity, repeated cleaning, etc., will net you yet another period of foul stench.
Normal cleaners will not effectively clean the stains and smells but dedicated cat urine cleaners are significantly more effective and useful. They are specially formulated to remove the stains and eliminate the odors that you can't see or smell but your cat still can. How to choose a cat urine remover? Cat urine cleaning products are available commercially and one should never use ammonia-based cleaners around cats. Humans don't much like them either, for what that's worth. For some reason they smell like cat urine.
Not only should you learn how to clean cat urine, but you should be aware of what's causing the problem in the first place. Once they've urinated in a particular area, you will have to use cat urine removers thoroughly; otherwise the cat might still smell the previous urine scent and strike again! Feliway pheromone administered via Feliway spray or using the Feliway diffusers can help relax your cats and encourage them not to urinate outside the litter box.
Potential reasons for pet urine or pet odor:
- Non-spayed males may spray urine to mark their territory. If you love your animals, spay and neuter them. This will eliminate that conflict between your territorial claims.
- Unclean litter boxes are as offensive to cats as they are to humans. You don't like the smell of pet urine or pet odor any more than they do. If your bathroom stank, would you want to go there? Think about it. If you have multiple cats, use multiple litter boxes to decrease the risk.
- Stressful situations can cause problems for cats, just the same as humans. If you have multiple cats for example, you might have a problem where 2 cats just don't get along.
- Urinary infections can result in incontinence and be life-threatening to your cat. If urination problems occur, consult with your vet as soon as possible. These are some of the common cat health care problems you might experience that relate to the pet urine issue.
- Abstain from using ammonia-based cleaners. You've smelled them both before, and your cat will assume the ammonia is from urine, since that's what they're familiar with. Instant pee pee permission!
We've seen there are many ways how to remove cat urine and deal with your pet urine or pet odor problems. The problem may be behavioral or physical. Find the problem and stop having to fix the surface symptoms. You and your cat will be able to enjoy your lives again as before without this issue, having a Happy Healthy Cat who doesn't pee everywhere. Cat urine cleaners and cat urine removers will help deal with your pet urine or pet odor problems, allowing you and your Happy Healthy Cats to enjoy your life.
