Laxatone Is Not Your Only Hope
I ran across this post earlier today and it has quite a few valuable nuggets of useful and helpful information in it that you may find of use:
Help! My cat is sick. I'm worried
The Laxatone didn't seem to work and now the Science Diet Hairball formula doesn't seem to be working either. Yesterday, several times he vomited large quantities of foul-smelling bile, and became lethargic. ...
Even though Laxatone is great for hairball removal and clearing up other types of constipation, it isn't necessarily going to be indicated to resolve all other sorts of problems. Home remedies are a great thing to have, but so is a good veterinary clinic or veterinary doctor on hand. They can catch the slight and subtle symptoms that you might miss. The vast majority of the cat health care issues you will encounter with your cats are going to be fairly trivial, particularly if treated quickly, but if you find that some thing just really seems wrong and your cat is having a tough time, definitely take that trip to the vet. Even a phone call is not always adequate; are you accurately describing the symptoms? Are you relating each thing that is actually happening? Maybe the vet can catch what's going on by noticing something that you have missed or mis-remembered, so please always remember to keep veterinary care in your cat health care arsenal.
